Spring ‘22
For spring in womens courtside we wanted to have a bit of fun. We were inspired by big bold blocking in old starter jackets, and super bold expressive graphics from the 90’s era of basketball, but wanted to put a new and modern spin on it.
Holiday ‘21
The holiday season for ‘21 was actually the 75th anniversary of the NBA, so we went back in the vault and decided to be inspired by the best years of the NBA; a mix tape of the greatest per say. With cursive font, bold taping but on modernized silhouettes for her we wanted to bring her to the game in style.
I first got hired at Nike when we acquired the NBA contract. I learned a lot during those first few years helping bring to life basketball uniforms. Mostly it taught me craft, the time and make and story telling you put into a jersey, people understand it. Also it taught me how to work well with others while building a new business; we were all new employees, hired to bring something to life and sell the Nike basketball dream.
