The Sample Room
Welcome to the circular clothing experiment
The Sample Room was born from an idea that sustainability within apparel shouldn't solely rely on cutting consumption or using recycled polyester. Consumerism around fashion will never go away, thats just the world we live in. So how do we change the mindset of people who still want new things, but maybe they aren't actually new? How do you actually create circularity within clothing?
It all starts at the design stage, and 11 years as a designer in the industry, I felt like I could do something about this.
Starting with conscious and thoughtful pattern making, we engineer a garment so that it can be easily taken apart and sewn into something new. Using all biodegradable materials & trims so everything is clean and pure, including no blends of any kind, and taking a stand against plastic.
